Dr. Kalyan Rudra, a distinguished scholar and eminent river scientist, currently serves as the Chairman of the West Bengal Pollution Control Board. Under his astute leadership, the Board has established numerous collaborations with premier scientific organizations, significantly enhancing its research capabilities and impact to develop a scientific approach to combat environmental degradation and climate change.

Gouri Basu is a distinguished educationist, cultural scholar, and arts administrator with over four decades of inspirational service. Currently a Consultant to the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, she earlier served as Director of the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), holding additional charges of the North East Zone Cultural Centre and the Anthropological Survey of India. Her accolades include the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Telegraph and the Excellence in Science Teaching Award from the National Academy of Sciences.

F5IFF’25 will be inaugurated by Mamata Shankar, the legendary actress, dancer, and choreographer, recently honored with the Padma Shri (2025). Daughter of Uday Shankar and Amala Shankar, and niece of Pandit Ravi Shankar, she carries forward a rich cultural legacy. Trained at the Uday Shankar India Culture Centre, she has acted in landmark films by Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen, Rituparno Ghosh, Buddhadeb Dasgupta, and Gautam Ghosh. Founder of the Mamata Shankar Ballet Troupe and Udayan Dance Company, her pioneering productions have toured worldwide. Her presence at F5IFF’25 marks a celebration of cinema, dance, and cultural excellence.

Moon Moon Sen is an Indian actress, known for her works in Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Marathi films. She eventually starred in Bollywood films. She has appeared in 60 films and 40 television series. She has received Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1987, for her role in the film Sirivennela.

She is the recipient of the Kalakendra Screen Award,  Bharat Nirman Award and Kalakar Awards. 

Barninee Chakraborty is a dynamic model, actress, and digital creator making her mark in the world of fashion, entertainment, and social media. A versatile talent, she works as a freelance model and actor, bringing creativity, confidence, and charisma to every project she undertakes. Originally from Falta, Barninee currently lives in Kolkata. With a strong presence on digital platforms, Barninee engages with a growing audience, sharing glimpses of her work, personal style, and lifestyle inspirations. 

Barun Chanda is a renowned Indian advertising professional, actor and author. He is mostly remembered for his role in Satyajit Ray's Seemabaddha for which he won a special President of India Award for his performance. He has a rich experience in advertising for over 3 decades and has acted in Hindi and Bengali films with equal elan. As a renowned author his work has played a major role in establishing the adult thriller genre in Bengali literature.

Prof. Shalini Lihitkar is a respected Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at RTMNU, Nagpur where she contributes to academic excellence and research in the field. A Gold Medalist in DLIS and recipient of prestigious awards, including the Best Researcher Award. With 15 years of teaching experience in the LIS field, she has published over 180 papers in national and international seminars, conferences, and journals. She has also edited 16 conference and workshop proceedings. She has also been nominated in various committees of the Union & State Government in different capacities.

Dipanjan Chatterjee, presently holding the role of Project Officer at the National Mission on Libraries (NML) within the Ministry of Culture (MoC), Government of India (GoI), brings to the table a Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS), with ongoing pursuit of a PhD in LIS. Committed to advancing the public library system as a cornerstone of knowledge dissemination, Dipanjan actively cultivates strong relationships with public library authorities across diverse State Governments and Union Territories. His addition to the Fest5 board significantly bolsters its capabilities, enhancing its capacity to a remarkable degree.

Yashpal Sharma is an Indian actor working in Bollywood and theatre. Yashpal is also a stage actor and appears in live plays. He turned to film direction with a biopic on Haryanvi poet Pandit Lakhmi Chand, which he wrote the  Screenplay with Raju Maan.

Ganesh Pratap Singh, a prominent art restorer, curator, connoisseur, and collector, has played a pivotal role in the city's art movement. His dedication to preserving India's artistic heritage is exemplified by his establishment, Virasat Art. Notably, his curation of "Husain 100," a unique exhibition celebrating Maqbool Fida Husain's 100th birth anniversary with displays of Hussain's paintings across multiple venues in Kolkata, received widespread critical acclaim.

Baishaki Somadder, a Bangladeshi Film enthusiast, holds a Masters in Film and Media. She was also an ICCR Scholar at Visva Bharati University. Baishaki, an accomplished thespian, debuted in Subhash Datta's "O Amar Chele." She is also a director and a freelance scriptwriter. Her upcoming directorial venture is "Laila."

Zohal Razavi is a producer, writer, and director, holding a Bachelor's degree in Animation Directing from IRIB University. Her career includes roles on the content evaluation councils for the Saba CO. ( The main carrier of animation production in the entire country.) and Pooya TV channel.

She has served on the jury for the Tehran Animation Festival and two editions of the Universal Film Festival Kansas City. Additionally, Razavi as a writer, has several feature film scripts and a novel to her credit. contributed to Radio, writing several radio plays, including "Nani Be Nerkh Rooz" and "Ansooye Menhaye Bi Nahayat."It's one of her side activities.

Mrunal Mestri is a Mumbai-born writer, director, and producer. She graduated with honors from New York Film Academy and made her mark with her thesis film "Voler," which debuted at TCL Chinese Theatre and won 12 awards globally, including at Cannes Short Film Festival and WorldFest Houston. Her short film "Malti" won awards at every festival it was screened at, with its trailer shared by Amitabh Bachchan, garnering over a million views. Mrunal aims to create content challenging narratives around gender, sexuality, and relationships. She's set to adapt "Malti" into a web series in 2024.

Amol Bhagat - Indian Filmmaker He was born in farmer family at Baramati village in Maharashtra,india. He was an electronic and telecommunication engineer. He is working from last 12 years in indian film industry as an film marketing department as well as he is youngest writer director in bollywood.he is working for 35 international Film festivals as a jury member . His debut bollywood film is "Pune To Goa "

Dr Basu is a renowned Diabetologist and preventive health expert based in Kolkata, with over 29 years of clinical experience. An MBBS and MD by qualification, Dr. Basu specializes in the diagnosis, management, and holistic treatment of a wide range of diabetic and metabolic conditions. Combining medical expertise with a deep commitment to preventive healthcare, his insightful treatment methods and contributions to research have established him as a trusted name in the field of diabetology. Dr. Basu is a passionate film enthusiast and has even acted in films. He also nurtures a deep love for literature and music, bringing a rich, cultural dimension to his multifaceted personality. 

Abhijit SriDas is an acclaimed Indian independent filmmaker known for his mastery across direction, screenwriting, and design. His debut feature, Bijoyar Pore, starring Mamata Shankar, earned global accolades and Filmfare recognition. Mentored by Sharmila Tagore, Abhijit blends classic storytelling with cinematic finesse. Honoured as an icon of North Bengal, he continues to shape bold, emotionally rich cinema.

Tinku Das is a renowned Indian artist known for his diverse talents. Born in Kolkata, he studied at Rabindra Bharati University. He's the founder secretary of DIMENSION 4 and has performed in 22 countries. Das has created 12 music albums, 21 live concerts, and 3 performing art festivals. He's also designed stage, lights, and sound for music concerts. With over 30 years of experience, his artworks are in collections worldwide.

Gargi Maitra is a seasoned strategic management professional with over a decade of experience in rural development, climate action, and community empowerment. Currently serving as Chief Coordinator, she plays a pivotal role in building alliances and driving impact-driven programs. She also leads media and partnerships at the SwitchON Foundation, where she manages initiatives on clean air, sustainable mobility, and youth leadership.

Dr. Arkadev Bhattacharya, a renowned Bharatanatyam exponent, mentor, and choreographer, has been immersed in dance for over 35 years. The first Bengali male Bharatanatyam dancer from Kolkata to achieve global acclaim, he is a UGC-NET qualified National Scholar and Ph.D. in Bharatanatyam. Trained under illustrious gurus including the Dhananjayans, Prof. C.V. Chandrasekhar, and Smt. Leela Samson, he also mastered the Uday Shankar style under Smt. Tanusree Shankar. Founder of the 30-year-old Niharika Centre, he serves as Dance Teacher at The Heritage School, HOD at Pracheen Kala Kendra, and Ph.D. guide, continuing to inspire through performance, teaching, and innovative choreography.

Vanshika has been an integral part of F5IFF since its very first season, contributing immensely to its growth and success. Her incredible energy and exceptional communication skills have made her a cornerstone of the festival.

Babita Das is a prominent artist known for her graphics and paintings, with international recognition earned through her participation in exhibitions and workshops worldwide, including the Florence Biennale. She has curated 18 International Art Meets, showcasing her expertise in the field.  Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions in Lithuania and Kolkata, and she has participated in notable international events, such as the Silk Road International Arts Exhibition in China.

Shamik Goswami is a renowned author and publisher. After a successful corporate career, he transitioned to literature in 2013. He founded Bahoman, a popular Bengali magazine, in 2016 and has authored 14 books. His work earned him three international awards, including one from the US. In 2018, he established Monon Kreations, a publishing house. Currently, he's engaged in scriptwriting, leveraging his creative expertise across formats, and continues to contribute to the literary sphere.

Asif Iqubal Hassan is a trailblazer in India's fashion industry. He's the founder of Ionic Fashion Academy, shaping future fashion designers. His signature label, "IQUBAL", blends modern style with cultural depth. Asif also founded Bengal Fashion Week, a premier platform celebrating fashion talent and diversity. Debasish's dedication to preserving cultural heritage and promoting authentic art makes him a significant figure in Kolkata's art and heritage landscape.

Deepak Dua is a Hindi Film Critic for www.cineyatra.com. A freelance Film Journalist, who was associated with Hindi Film Monthly Filmi Kaliyan for a long time. His review of film Dangal is being taught as a chapter in Hindi text books of Class 8 in many schools.

Susanta pal is a professional with 15 years of experience in the Tollygunge film industry. Over the years, susanta has gained expertise as an executive producer, line producer, and producer roles. He is dedicated to delivering exceptional productions with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.

Arijit Nandi is a working professional with 15+ of work experience in the management field. He joins our festival as a coordinator and he will be coordinating with the team members and our volunteers for the festival. Arijit follows acting as a hobby and passion.

Nirmal Sharma

Practising as an advocate since 1999, he is enrolled with the Bar Council of India and is an active member of the Calcutta High Court Bar Association. Sinjoni, a passionate dance enthusiast, is currently pursuing her MA Honours in Dance. As the founder of Nritya Charcha Academy, she nurtures young talent and shares her love for dance. Sinjoni and her team are set to mesmerize audiences with their upcoming performance at our festival's cultural segment.
